Product Marketing Manager
AudienceScience, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Product Marketing Manager that will report directly to the VP of Marketing. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the market success of AudienceScience audience targeting products. This position will craft product positioning, value propositions, and messaging by developing tools that support the selling process. You will partner with product development, marketing communications and sales to inform our customers about new products, features and services. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial.
Responsibilities:
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for accomplishing the objectives and responsibilities outlined below:
- Develop product positioning, value proposition and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
- Maintain an up to date understanding of the competition, develop and communicate our value proposition relative to the competition.
- Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
- Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
- Understand market opportunities and customer needs through market analysis and direct customer interaction.
- Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them
- Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
- Work closely with product development and engineering to understand upcoming product improvements and changes to the experience for different market participants
Requirements/Skills:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science required. MBA is a plus.
- 3 + years of product marketing experience with Internet products or services. Experience in online marketing and advertising is preferred.
- A mix of marketing/business and technical experience preferred.
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate a complex competitive landscape.
- Very strong written communication, presentation and organizational skills
- Ability to understand market/customer needs and problems as input to product positioning, value proposition and messaging.
- Demonstrated experience in launching Internet based products or services and managing product marketing strategy for those products.
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapidly changing and competitive industry.
